Fashion's night out T-shirts

Fashion's Night Out is a global initiative, sponsored by Vogue and the CFDA. The first event began in 2009, it was held in New York, as a means to encourage consumers to shop and support the fashion industry during the tough economic climate. In 2010 the event will be held in New York (7/9), Sydney (9/9), Beijing (11/9), London (8/9), Paris (7/9), Berlin (9/9), New Delhi (10/9), Milan (9/9), Portugal (9/9), Moscow(10/9), Madrid (9/9), Seoul (8/9), Taiwan (11/9), Athens (16/9) and Istanbul(16/9).

What is special to this event is that the shops stay open till midnight having special offers and special edition designer garmets that you can find only that night!

Like last year, this year the fashion night out has a whole collection of T-shirt and other goodies especially designed for this night! And it starts to become a tradition and a must-have for that night to shopping wearing them!!! Every town has a different design that make you want them all! And and best part is tha the proceeds of the T-shirt go to charities!

the aviator style

Maybe it is hot outside, maybe the photos of my previous post are shot next to the sea, but it's about time to start searching our autumn and winter shopping options.
Aviator style considers as a classic style that comes back in fashion from time to time. I have notice that this happens really frequently.
Let's take a look to the essentials for men and women.
Girls remember, it is a masculine style so be minimal to your jewels.

a couple of flowers on my vintage belt

The summer creativity continues! Here we have the most famous dress of h&m this summer. I think that everybody has it....and not only in one colour! It is really comfortable, but I try to accessorize it every time thus it looks a little bit different!
This time I put some flowers on my vintage belt! They also look nice on long shirts. You can use flowers that are brooches, or they are hair clasp, or they are just for decoration, so use a safety pin to put them.

"It's not a purse, it's called a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one."

Let's start with the definition and some historical details:

The satchel became a fashion accessory and was popular during the 17th century. A satchel is a bag, often with a strap. The strap is often worn so that it diagonally crosses the body, with the bag hanging on the opposite hip, rather than hanging directly down from the shoulder. They are commonly used for carrying books. Satchels are most often made of leather or cloth.

The main difference between a satchel and a briefcase is that a satchel is soft-sided. As well, satchels often have straps and briefcases never do.

There is some overlap between a satchel and some styles of messenger bag, however messenger bags come in a wider variety of materials and form factors, and messenger bags always have a strap.

I remember myself carrying one at the third grade in primary school. It was a really nice khaki leather bag, wishing to have it right now. But I don't! So, I am searching for a comfortable satchel bag for this autumn and winter. My problem this time is that I don't know what colour to pick. I think that colours like beige, camel, maroon, brown, green or grey this bag looks better, but it is really possible that I finally pick the classic black colour. Right now I am just looking around!

Finally, a fashionable piece that it is really comfortable!!!!

After a little online research here are some findings on the web.

Also, Christina (where the wild roses grow), has picked some satchel bags from gmarket. Read her post here.

Today's outfit: the safari sailor

When you are on vacations and you have few clothes with you, you should be very creative and make smart combinations, so it doesn't look like you wear the same clothes everyday.
These safari style bermudas I bought it before a couple of year and it is much longer, normally under the knee. But now I found really boring this length. So, I turned-up the cuffs of the trouser legs and it's like I have a new pair of shorts.
Then I added this summer trends, a sailor T-shirt with stripes and a flower on my hair (don't forget the floral prints) and we are ready!

Stylish moments on the beach......

After a full month of vacations by the sea, I am finally back to town! Of course, my first priority is to update my beloved blog, so here is a post with some stylish moments on the beach!

And for the record.....I haven't gone for shopping a whole month.....and I feel fine....even if I have read ALL the Greek fashion magazines for June, July, August and some for September (and not only Greek)....and even if I have seen on their pages fabulous clothes...I still feel fine! YES! Good company, a nice beach, colorful cocktails and dance from the dust till the dawn (or from the dawn till the dust!) is all you need!

PS: no the summer is not over! We officially have still two weeks. ;D
